Comedy Sportz will be having its second match of the year in the theatre tomorrow, March 21st at 7pm against Laguna Hills High School. Tickets are 5 dollars at the door.

Great college admissions presentation, “Reducing Anxiety in College Admissions and Standardized Testing”, on Monday, March 25th at 6:30 pm in the Lecture Hall. Nick Standlea with Test Prep Gurus will discuss how to reduce the associated stress with the college search and standardized exams! Flyer

Come out and support our baseball team this afternoon as they play Newport in the Battle of the Bay. This game will be played at OCC to create a big game atmosphere. 1st pitch is at 4:00. Admission is $5. Lets pack the ballpark and show Newport what we are made of. 

The Esports club has postponed its Super Smash Brothers Ultimate tournament to this Saturday, March 23rd. The tournament will have a $5 entry fee, and the winner will receive a $25 Amazon gift card. Signups for the tournament will start at 10:30 AM on Saturday in room 329 and will close at 11:00 AM sharp.

Girls Lacrosse has their Battle of the Bay this Thursday at Newport Harbor at 6:00pm. Make sure to come out and support the team!

Congratulations to senior Paige Damron for placing 1st in the 300 meter hurdles at the Laguna Beach Trophy Invite track meet on Saturday. Teammate Ashley Trester also medaled with a 6th place in the discus. The Men’s Varsity Track Team saw 3 seniors medal at the Laguna Beach Trophy Invite on Saturday: Cole White, 2nd in the shot put; Charlie Wright, 3rd in the Long Jump and Tibet Ergul, 6th in the 300 meter intermediate hurdles. The women’s and men’s track teams next compete in a dual meet against Laguna Beach on Wednesday, March 20. The meet begins at 3 p.m. at Laguna Beach High School.

Please JOIN US TONIGHT, TUESDAY, MARCH 19th from 7 - 8:30 p.m. in the LRC and LEARN TO BE A LIFESAVER – you could save a student, a friend, or a family member from an accidental overdose. Find out how to SAVE OUR STUDENTS as we see a compelling presentation of “OVERTAKEN,” an award-winning short film by Jodi Barber dealing with the drug epidemic. Actor Jeremy Jackson of Baywatch and other special guests, will speak about their experiences. ALL students grades 7-12 are invited to attend and the PTA invites you to bring your parents too! Attention seniors - Come to the first annual Senior Night Angels Game against the Oakland A's on June 6. Price is $20 and includes a "Class of 2019" Hat. Payments should be made at the ASB Office.

The Theatre Department is holding auditions for next years drama 2, 3 and 4 classes. Auditions will be April 2,3 and 4th from 3:15-4:30 in room 617. Please prepare 2 contrasting theatre monologues or songs and sign up on  room 617's door. Technical theatre is also available next year. Ask your councilor about this class if you are interested in makeup, set, costume, audio,or light design. An informational meeting will be held in the Sea King Theatre from 3:15-4 on March 28th to discuss all information about next year. 

Girls lacrosse has a game at home today at 3:30. They are playing San Clemente, and it's going to be a great game. Come out and support!

Swim meet today at Edison HS at 3:00.

Daily Announcements - Monday, March 18th

SENIORS: Pick up ordered senior items (graduation announcements, etc.) that were ordered back in December on Monday, March 18th in the pool parking lot from 7:30-12:30. This is not for cap/gowns…those will be delivered in June.

There is an information meeting for AP World History today in the lecture hall at lunch. Freshmen, this is for you. 

There will be a Future Career Club meeting today at lunch in Ms. Keane's room 326. 

HRC is having their Think Before You Speak campaign this week. 

Come to the 6th Annual US Service Academies Information Night on Monday, March 18th at 6:30 pm in the LRC. All five academies will have a college representative presenting their academy. Light refreshments will be served! Flyer

Girls lacrosse won their game on Saturday against Santiago 9-7. The nine goals were scored by Paige W, Caroline B, Joslyn S, and Belle G. Goalie, Katie L, had 10 saves. Come out and support the girls on Tuesday at home against San Clemente. The game is at 3:30.
